Hello world! I have been infatuated with tech since a very young age tinkering with every game console or computer that I had. I took every computer course my high school offered. During the summers I would teach myself how to program gaining knowledge in Linux, Python, JavaScript, and HTML coding. In college I studied computer science engineering. During my time in university I struggled with burn out and fighting imposter syndrome. I found it hard to stay on task and lost the drive I had for the tech industry. I dropped out of school to move to the mountains in Jackson Hole where I found a love for the mountain west and enjoyed outdoor activities such as backpacking, snowboarding, hiking, and fly fishing. I started working as a Gondola Mechanic at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Throughout my time in the ski resort industry I grew as an individual and realized I had something missing. My love for technology.

Kickstart Back Into Technology

With my missing love for tech I studied programs and areas in the technology industry that topped my interest. I found cyber security to be particularly intriguing. I have started back in the tech industry by obtaining certifications. The certifications that I have attained are CompTIA Tech+, CompTIA A+, and Linux Professional Institute Linux Essentials. I am currently studying for the CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA Data+ exams. After which I will obtain the CompTIA Security+ certification. I have been using HacktheBox and TryHackMe as gamified ways of learning cyber security. I have gained interest in Information Control Systems(ICS) and started to take courses on ICS through training from CyberSecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency(CISA). I am in the enrollement porocess at Western Govenors University for a bachelors in cybersecuirty and information assurance. Through these certifications and education I will obtain a job in the tech industry to work in the industry of my passion.
